no big deal i pull over to swap it out, and i find no tire iron, because of the custom stereo i have in my trunk.
BUT i do have a full sized spare.
so i call a tow truck company to help me out with getting the wheel off and back on.
so it turns out i need both fronts to be replaced due to poor alignment :(

so i guess i need to replace both of them now?
i would kinda rather wait untill spring time, but i may not have a choice.
and i dont really wanna toss on my winters this week...

why do expenses hit me when i work part time vs full time?

I was rear-ended in the wagon last Thursday. Thanks to another thread on here I was able to get all the other driver's info as well as sticking around until the report was filed to ensure that the other driver had the same recount of the accident. He admitted fault and I've already been approved for a 'no fault' claim to have the rear bumper fixed. It's got a puncture so I assume that they will replace with a new bumper skin and paint to match.

My question is this...

They have 2 preferred shops in town, A1 auto body and the CarStar chain. They say I can take it anywhere but they will only guarantee the work (if anything peels etc. for the life of the car) if I go with one of their shops. If I go to Cosmos and they don't want to match the price quoted by insurance I'm on the hook to make up the difference.

Should I just go with what is probably a lesser quality job at one of the above mentioned shops or talk to Loc about price and see if he can fix it for the price the adjuster comes up with?

So I'm looking to get some new wheels for my B7 Avant and I'm stuggling to figure out what to do mostly because of the color of the car which is Dakar beige metallic. It's not a very sporty color and I'm not really wanting to go for a performance look for the car. I also have to decide if I want to get 18's or 19's. With the 18s I could just throw some winter tires on and ride them all year long or I could get the 19 and get summer tires on them or all seasons and then just switch to my 16s when the weather starts to get really nasty. Anyway, here are the wheels I'm thinking about. Any input would be appreciated.

Mercedes s550 wheels. 19x8.5+43 and 19x9.5+43

Mercedes AMG Monoblocks 18x8 and 18x9

or the 18x8 S4 wheels you know what they look like

And here is my car (I'll be getting springs to go along with the wheels)

Anyone have any guesses to what it might be? I'm hoping something simple like the thermostat is wonky, but I'm sure with my luck it'll be something big.

Needs rear driver side bearing done but the other issue is really bothering me.
once the oil temp hits about 100 degress I start getting greyish heavy smoke out the back. Im pretty sure its oil.
The guy i bought it off of says he is confident its a emulision sensor (ive never heard of this) my mechanic says the scan says i need a new N75 valve (see pics below). My mechanic also says theres no way this part is causing the smoke from the back.
Im going tomorrow to spend some $$ on the part but would prefer spending money on something that causes the smoke.
Link to image... its the part that has a electric connection and 3 hoses coming out of it.
Thanks for help in advance.

Jerbel Autowerks is an enthusiast company of all cars German, with a particular focus on VW/Audi. We are constantly working to develop new and innovative products for these cars, so in addition to supplying parts from VAST Performance, JH Motorsports, and OEM replacement parts for German vehicles, Jerbel Autowerks will also be featuring its own proprietary products.

The company is in the final stages of its website development. When the site launches, it will incorporate a photo of a German car on the home page. We would love to see pictures from Eurodrivers members, and will be featuring one car per month, with a short description/abstract of the car. The winner of the monthly contest will be awarded a prize.

If you would like to have your car featured on the home page of the website of one of our own Eurodrivers supporting companies, please email your best photos to jawsales@jerbelautowerks.com. For the first month following the program's launch, we will be looking for Audi's, and the next month we will want to see the best VW's you guys can muster.

Any feedback on this program is welcome.

Thanks for your support!
