  • Edmonton Auto Show

Haven't bothered to edit or (c) any of these, so they could be more polished. Regardless, here's what caught my eye at the 2011 Edmonton Auto Show.

Only complaint was that Porsche didn't have a booth (no local dealership?) and the Lotus/Lamborghini spot was right at the entrance/exit between two pavilions so getting the shot I really wanted was too much of a pain in the ass to wait for an opening.

    Enjoy! (C/C welcome!)

As I looked for parking I noticed a clean looking white UrS4 that I couldn't find space nearby and as a consolation prize... found a spot the Cummins needed a 4pt reverse turn to back into cleanly just across from this clean customer. By now I knew I'd be in for a treat:

Saw a cleanly restored classic someone had brought to the event on my way to the door & felt obliged to take a shot:

Look how the matte black absorbs the flash compared to the other two Lambos (and the brown 911 top left) :

Given the luxury of having worked full-time as a lot-attendant at a Toyota then again later at a Lexus dealership, I can say I've flogged more than a few late model imports and domestic cars, trucks and SUVs to their limit. Having never been much of a fan of Lexus, I think it's safe to say the Japanese marque is back with a real contender in the LF-A:

The sound it makes is like an Audi I5 on juice!!!

Biggest disappointment of the show, other than this car's rear end, was that the newest McLaren (MP12-4C?) was absent. AMG's SLS is a cool car nonetheless...

Her older sister seemed to hold a fair crowd... though with that ghastly front end and tacky interior, God only knows why!

In my eyes, the Ford GT on slicks over shadowed the Hamman M6 and the Sterling Moss Edition SLR McLaren.

From there the Ferrari's beckoned for some attention:

Mean looking Pinnafirinna inspired design, with a Ferrari V8 underneath:

Of course, in similar fashion, the Dutch-made supercar by Spyker uses an Audi 4.2L V8 to put the power down:

But to me, driving an Audi has so much less of a DB factor... same?

One day... I'll have the life insurance policy and cash on hand:

    Some OG big boy power:

May have found the body shop with the classic import restoration pedigree I'm looking for:

And to push off with... the difference between carbon fibre worth money, and what you get on a Scion.
