  • 2007 Audi RS4 (Misano Red)

My bro-in-law dropped by last week and on our way to and from Canmore... he snapped some excellent pics.
Figured it was as good a time as any to finally formally introduce my new girl in her first mini-photo shoot.

    Hope you Enjoy! Rob.

Love the car but really "love the stance?" No offence Rob but stock suspension and stance shouldn't be used in the same sentence!

Really? I'm actually getting a little sick of the super-drop look. Granted the car could stand to drop 1" or so, but overall I really like that look. More of a road-warrior look. (he says zipping up his flame suit)......

I think a 1 to 1-1/2" drop would look excellent on this car, don't think it needs more than that. An RS4 is supposed to be driven like you mean it.

(says the guy on air suggesting a small drop)

Beautiful car. Just wiped drool off my keyboard. I agree with the drop comment, I think most purists agree that lowering too much can actually hinder handling.

My comment had nothing to do with handeling or what I think looks good. Its purely a comment towards the word "stance". I love Robs car and if I owned an RS4 I would probaby leave it on stock suspension (actually who am I kidding), but to use the word "stance" on a car with basically OEM size wheels and stock suspension just isn't right!

For those who attend the Church of Stance-entology, see updated labels in the OP.

If it were my choice (it isn't) and $$$ was just burning away in my fireplace (it's not) I'd have a STaSIS Ohlins Motorsport setup on her faster than you could say "Stance"! However, until I supply the boss (ie. 'my wife') with a substitute for the RS4 (ie. think Cayenne GTS) and get several promotions at work (Plan A) or (Plan B) win the lottery (c'mon Plan B) I'm afraid this is as low as she's going for now.

In the meantime... If anyone wants to organize a letter-writing campaign to my wife... I'm all ears!

I'm with you Derek. I love Rob's car, but that infinite black-hole called "vortex" has ruined the word "stance" for me. I find myself disappointed when I see a stock height car (or slightly lowered) in any stance thread, even if it looks amazing. Again Rob, nothing against your car, because when I get my RS4, it will get better suspension, but it most likely will NOT have stance.

                          P.S. Love the side view

Edit: I'll try to have a talk with your wife Rob, cause something here just doesnt seem fair lol

Hmmm... maybe I'll "release her to the stance hounds" at the next Cars & Coffee event.

Agreed. The pictures are a little misleading too since the photo-editing has brought out the wheels... but made the tires disappear. I did a quickie edit of another photo below so that you get a better idea of the consistent fender-tire gap.

                            Cheers All! Rob.
