      Re: Air Ride setups

      1970 Volkswagen type 3 squareback

firestone airbags. 7" rear, 5" front
      small primary tank from freightliner
      wurth synflex and compression fittings
manual valves from bostrom wide ride seats for control
      ebay dual needle gauges
      full custom mounts

      my total investment: $200 +/-
I work for freightliner, so all the valves came from used seats, the air tank was cheap, lines and fittings were free.
2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS. Daily. Far from stock.

2001.5 Audi S4. Billet rs6 and everything else. FOR SALE. $6500
      Need this car sold.

      1960 Ford Falcon.

                2003 VW Jetta 1.8t

                1 - Which Bags/Struts? Front-Old Airlift sleeve lifestyle's. Rear-Airlift sleeves
                2 - Which Compressor? Viair 380c
3 - Which tank? 8x1/2" ports. Wrinkle black steel
4 - Which Air ride management? Manual
5 - The prices of the parts? About $1200. Got it on sale when the new xl's came out, pricing is about $1600 now plus any fittings and building supplies.
6 - Are they durable? Yes, especially the manual management
7 - Trunk setup picture? Below
8 - Some other details? Some people have gotten these struts to lay frame, I never did as I had 225/40/18 tires in the front.
                Frame notched.
                Pinch welds bent
                FK sport shocks in rear
The sleeve lifestyles were more performance orientated so they rode a lot stiffer than xl's. They are also dampening adjustable.
The manual management is the way to go if you are on a budget but you will find yourself not wanting to air down a whole lot as its a PITA to get the car perfectly level again, as with all pressure based systems.
I also had analog management for about a week, then went back to manual. Found it was the same stup with more to go wrong, which it did, had valves sticking.

                2004.5 VW GLI

                1 - Which Bags/Struts? Front-Airlift XL's. rear-Airlift sleeves

3 - Which tank? 8x1/2" ports. Wrinkle black steel
4 - Which Air ride management? E-level with touchpad
5 - The prices of the parts? Around $4000 or so
6 - Are they durable? Yes, but with electronics, more stuff can go wrong
7 - Trunk setup picture? Currently rebuilding, will update when finished
8 - Some other details? The perfect setup for a daily driver.
                Frame notched
                Subframe notched
                Pinch welds bent
                Dogbone notched
                Fenders rolled
                FK sport shocks in rear
E-Level is more of a 'set it and forget it' system

                    2004 VW R32

1 - Which Bags/Struts? Bagyard Bomber fronts, airlift slam xl rear bags and bilstein sport shocks
2 - Which Compressor? Dual Viar 444cc Compressors
                    3 - Which tank? Dual 3Gal accuair tanks/exo mounts
4 - Which Air ride management? Accuair e-level and Airlift V2. The e-level is a far superior management system, but, if you want a pressure based system that comes in a small package the V2 wasn't terrible.
5 - The prices of the parts? Roughly $4500
6 - Are they durable? With a proper install, yes.
7 - Trunk setup picture? Only picture was when I was running a single 3 gallon tank.

8 - Some other details? All airlines were 1/4" and were ran internally within the car. Additional power supply was provided with accuairs power kit. 2x water traps that were installed when the tank setup changed, pressure relief valve and a few other various things.
