  • Wheel Size, 2002 Allroad. WTF are spacers?

In Yellowknife, we have a few choices for ordering rims and tires. I want a cheap set of steelies, but everyone tells me that they don't come in the right size for my AR.

Question: What do I need to tell them (aside from, "Look harder.") Can I order spacers too?

      WTF are spacers?
Spacers are a piece of aluminum or steel that go between your rim and the wheel hub to "push" the rim outwards and away from the car.

If you run spacers, depending how big you go you might need extended bolts as well to make sure the threads bite enough to be safe.
I wouldn't bother getting steelies though just personally I would at least buy someone's used stock wheels or something for winters. Steelies are poop soup.

Thanks for the pointers everyone. I'll see what I can get from the tire shop.

for the wifes AR and the summers i use i have to use H&R 30mm spacers front and back.. its basically a big ass spacer with a new hub that you bolt to the actual wheel hub and your wheel threads into the spacer..

works great and no rubbing issues with larger tires/wheels
