^lol say that to the RS4,5,7 here

only the EU gets wagon'd RS models plus the sedans in certain counties

it would be nice to see either version come to NA..sadly if its by 2017/18 i'm sure merc/bmw,etc will have something much better here already

Well I have always said if they make a sedan RS3 it will come to NA, it is a no brainer and needed to compete with things like the CLA45 and the coming M2. I think the 3 door hatch RS3 would be the most fun, but not sure that one will hit the market anytime.

I would personally rather have the RS3 in sedan form than hatch. If it comes to Canada with a manual transmission that will be the RS4 replacement!

I agree. Much rather have the sedan but if it takes till 2017/18 then the 2016 M2 might be the RS3 preplacement.

You get the RS Derek and I'll get the Beemer. I have too many AWD's as it is.

The BMW M2 may actually have optional AWD at some point too!

The RS3 will be very hot in sedan form, that platform is very good looking in IMO.

                          Re: RS3 for NA... maybe?

It looks like the AWD M2 and the RS3 will hit the NA market right at the same time somewhere around 2017/18. If the styling of both concepts actually happens it should be interesting. If both offer the current model styling, I would have to go with Derek, modern BMWs are kind of Meh! Especially for the interiors. BMW really has fallen of in the interior design and materials. Just take a look at the interior of Nicks clown shoe compared to a new BMW. The 10+ year old interior is 100 times nicer in design and materials.

                          concept pics...

                              Re: RS3 for NA... maybe?

From latest pics from Blair it looks like the concept photos of the M2 are very very close to the camo test mule. In fact what is out of camo is identical right down to the wheels. IMO the rs3 has lost some of its edge in the real world not sure about the body colored skirts and lower body line. I am a 4 rings fan boy but that m2 in awd or even rear drive is going to be very hard to compete with head to head.
