  • Allroad Arnott Coil-overs Lifespan: Two Years

At least in the sub-Arctic! Original install date was May 2013. Had RF shock assembly replaced under warranty in November 2014 and it's failed again. The other side has failed in the past month. Not sure about the rear ones but they seem fine.

Arnott has been great about sending replacements, but I'm still on the hook for the labour. They also mentioned that the kits will now ship with Monroe shocks, not Bilsteins. Hopefully they can hold up to the rigors of extreme cold.

As an aside, has anyone had problems dealing with Westside in Edmonton? They were my original installers and as such I have to go through them for warranty replacements. They authorize (read: pay for) the replacement parts and get reimbursed by Arnott when the old parts are returned. I can't get Westside to answer their bloody phone. Three messages in a two months, nothing. Arnott has said I can deal with them directly if it comes to that. The less hassle the better, IMO, even if I have to pay for the parts up front.

I have nothing good to say about Westside Automotive amd their business practices/ethics.

I know others on this site can vouch the same.

Best bet might be to have someone go in for you or try digital communication like Facebook or email.

Living in Yellowknife, I can't exactly pop by for a visit. My plan is to just cut them out of the loop altogether.
