Mmi swapping

I have a 2010 s4, with the B&O stereo, and am missing a few things that came later for MMI technology. (Bluetooth Audio etc)

My buddy just bought a wrecked 2012 a4 fully loaded, is it possible to swap the control boxes? Or would that be a headache to make it work? Anyone done this before?

Not an answer to your question, but what about something like this? My mom used something similar to add Bluetooth to her q5.
