  • Singer 911

Porsche 911 has become a very advanced machine, an engineering marvel. But in terms of style it’s gone backward. What you need is a Porsche that goes like the modern 911 but looks like the old one.

If only such a thing existed!

Yep, that’s the idea behind the Singer 911. They took the body of a vintage 911, tweaked its design a bit, and bolted on a modern underpinning they’ve borrowed from different new models.

I like the look but for 200K + a 993 you can do much better...

                      Re: Singer 911

Looks better in orange. The wheel sizes are a bit strange, the wheel widths are far too big for the rubber. They've put 225 tyres on a 9" rim and 275 on 11" rears. I don't like the stretched look at the best of times and it looks wrong on a 911.

What's the silver disk in the middle of the bonnet for? If it's the fuel filler which would be a pain in the arse to get to. There is another filler behind the passenger door, could this be the fuel filler.

                      I'd rather have a 993 RS.

                        Re: Singer 911

I would say they would have some serious rubbing issues with tires much wider, kind of gives it an old school race car look IMO. The front filler is for the optional fuel cell system and the passenger side filler is for oil, also an option, can have the normal fuel filler if you don't select the options. I did some reading on the spec sheet earlier

                          Re: Singer 911

theres no way you could run rims that wide without stretch, you'd rub everything off.
they setup looks sick and very 80's racer esque.

                          seriously wicked

The tires are barely stretched. 225mm is 8.86", and 275mm is 10.83"
