  • 05 Passat Wagon TDI

Well, out of necessity, I went shopping. Really wasn't ready to replace my Jetta yet, but the Jetta had its own agenda.

Original plan was to get something like this in a year or two, and replace the MK3 Jetta I have, but what can ya do....

I'm fairly excited. I'll miss the manual transmission though.

Should have it home tonight or Friday.

Looks great. Given the location, I presume that it was a CPO car at South Centre. The highway mileage of the 2.0 TDI is around 5.4 in the Passats which should be nice given the size of car. Best of luck with this one.

good choice! as soon as you can do the unitronics chip and the euro sportmode tip mod via vag........ it changes the car 100%

True, going to Vegas, with cruise set I was averaging about 5.8 at 150-160 and 4.7 at 120 on mine

Auto FTL :( Still a nice family car, should give you way more room for the kids. I foresee your wife driving this all the time and you being relegated to the Mk3

Congrats on the new purchase, hopefully they didn't play complete hard ball with you. In terms of the chip, you do have options, do some looking around.
Brent you should sit in the back of this, a way different experience then any Jetta or Golf. My wifes Sedan has lots of room, even myself who has sat in the back at 6`2 has lots of leg room.
Audi A4 chassis and suspension, these cars are great except for their balance shaft issues.

In terms of the Auto, find a Euro 6 speed tdi tranny and that will change the auto situation.

Um....there are tons of options, you just need to look.

Alligator has an amazing chip for the 2.0 TDI's, ask Ben, he bought his wife one for hers. There is also Rocketchip and others. Ask the right people and you will find that there are tons of chips for TDI's.
