      haha yes there are

both front CVs are about to crack so easy to replace now
fuel filter needs to be replaced because it doesn't like to start sometimes and i know it needs to be replaced
and i need a new flex joint welded on the one down pipe so it doesn't sound like a dirt bike

The last of the spoken-for rings were sent out on the weekend (thanks Colin!) so everyone should have their stuff soon. Let me know if you're missing any.

        Thanks again everyone.

All quiet here. Has anyone installed these yet? I'm tackling it tomorrow, first time working on the injectors. Wish me luck!

I haven't yet. Should really get on it though. Probably wont do it again till I start smelling gas.

Wasn't bad on the 2.8, don't recall the 2.7 being much more difficult. Few more parts to take off.

I replaced mine today. Took about three hours. I used this DIY from AW: http://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-s.../#post24615548

I work slowly so no doubt others could do this in half the time. I used 7/32 hose clamps to replace the OEM pinchy-type clamps I mangled while removing them.

I also noticed how dirty the injectors were! Here's before:
Lots of crud around the mounting surface of the o-ring. This is the end that goes into the port. by ansonchappell, on Flickr

And after a little TLC with brake cleaner:

Fuel rail off, this took some leveraging to unseat the injectors:
New o-rings installed on the left by ansonchappell, on Flickr

New o-ring left, old right. by ansonchappell, on Flickr

Borrowed from the DIY. This shows how many little suction, supply, and various and sundry have to be unhooked.

                              Overall it went really well.

About 15 minutes, including cleaning the area around the injectors before taking them out and continuing the cleaning and replacement of the o-rings.

                                It's not rocket science....

                                This in on a 1.8t.
