I mounted them to the floor where the rear seatbealts used to be attatched to. Im gonna do them properly this winter.

If i were you i would order a 52" (I believe thats what the distance is between your b pillars is) harness bar from nrg. And wrap the harness around that. Also, its a very specific way that they have to be wrapped

            Side track from the gti,
Ive always wanted a MK2 and finally I got a 92 jetta as a winter beater.
            Bought it with:
            cams,
            an exhaust,
            lowered on kw v1 coils,
            very little rust,
            converted to power windows,
            and heated seats!

Swore i would keep it as is but that lasted less than 24 hrs

Slow progress. Still have to rig up a flywheel puller to be able to bolt it up to the stand and begin disassembly. Transaxel is getting steel shift forks this week and the engine bay will stripped down and shaved once again.

To remove the flywheel all i have ever done is put two of the bolts back in from the pressure plate and then use a large pry bar between the bolts to hold it in place while i unbolt the middle flywheel bolts. Other option would be an air gun wouldn't it?

I impacted the bolts off the flywheel already. It just won't come off the crank tho. I tried prying between the block and the backside of the flywheel and it wont move

                        Re: My 2008 GTI

Got the FW off a couple days ago. Lightly tapped with a brass punch in between each one of the bolts, and pried on both sides and it came off!
                        Removed
                        oil cooler,
                        all sensors,
                        oil filter assembly,
                        timing idlers, chain and tensioner,
                        water pump,
                        variable valve timing,

Intake valves have a pretty heavy amount of carbon build up for just over 100,000 KM

Head will be coming off tomorrow so it can get shipped out to Integrated Engineering so they can work their magic, and hopefully it can be bare block.

Yeah, no kidding. My valves looks super clean, 0 deposit on them. Mind you, my head only has 10k on it since it was rebuilt. Plus more power and it runs cooler.
