01E Trans Rebuild in AB?

I'm looking at a vehicle that has a 1-2 shift collar on its way out.

Does anyone in AB have positive experience rebuilding these? I know the JHM rebuild kits come with an instructional DVD (which are supposedly pretty good), but I want to weigh out the options.

Yes, that's the one!

The seller already has the full rebuild kit from JHM purchased (along with the video, I'm assuming)... I'm just curious if anyone has done it themselves, or had a shop in AB do similar work and be happy with the result.

I have done the rebuild a couple of times, not too difficult

Thanks for the info guys!

I see that there's already a thread started on the car, and some people have already gone to see it and provided a thorough assessment of the items that require attention, in addition to the transmission.

I'm trying to put some miles on my car, so I'll be road-tripping through E-town this week and will stop in to see it and drive it.
