McLaren has announced plans to offer both the 540C and 570S in Canada.

Currently available to order, the entry-level 540C starts at $196,500 and features a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that develops 540 PS (533 bhp / 397 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed seamless shift gearbox (SSG) which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).

Moving up to the $219,750 McLaren 570S rewards buyers with an upgraded twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that produces 570 PS (562 bhp / 419 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to the extra oomph, the model runs from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds before topping out at 328 km/h (204 mph).

While the 540C will be available in Canada, McLaren spokesperson JP Canton told Autoguide "Essentially the car will be homologation for the U.S., but it is highly unlikely we will import it."

570 GT announced

McLaren is revealing the 570GT that will be introduced during the upcoming Geneva Motor Show next week.

McLaren is preparing to showcase its largest selection of models to date at show in Geneva, where it will also bring the new 570GT. The third vehicle of the Sports Series is joining the 570S Coupe and 540C Coupe, carrying a starting price of $214,270 (£154,000) in the UK.

The British manufacturer explains this is “the most luxurious and refined of any McLaren to date”, designed with a focus on “day-to-day usability and long distance comfort.” It offers room for two passengers, sitting in eight-way electrically adjustable sports leather seats as standard.

Engineers have installed a fixed glass panoramic roof, treated with 18 percent transmission tint, the same as the glass roof of the McLaren P1. The roof also features the so-called SSF (Sound & Solar Film) to absorb solar radiation while providing additional noise insulation.

Just like in the Coupe models, the 570GT has a 150-liter front luggage space, but it also comes with a second 220-liter space, available behind the seats on the leather-lined Touring Deck. This additional trunk is accessed through a side opening.

Under the skin lays a 3.8-liter V8 biturbo engine which generates 570 horsepower (419 kW) and 443 pound-feet (600 Nm) of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels via a seven-speed seamless-shift transmission, working in Normal, Sport, and Track modes. 0-62 miles per hour (0-100 kilometers per hour) acceleration takes 3.4 seconds, while the 124 mph (200 km/h) mark is reached in 9.8 seconds.

The model shares its suspension with the Coupe versions, but the mechanism has been retuned to deliver a reduction in spring rate stiffness of 15 percent at the front and 10 percent at the rear. The suspension can be adjusted through Normal, Sport, and Track settings.
