      Thanks guys!

I got all of the parts I had accumulated installed today. Much happier with the Euro tail lights!

              Re: Scott’s MK7 Golf R

              Thanks guys!

Since I forgot to show Derek this morning and in case anyone else is curious, this is what the spare tire setup looks like. Someone local on Vortex found my post saying I was looking for a spare, so I got the spare from an S3 and all of the OEM tools except for the lug wrench from him. The foam block for all of the tools, as well as the new trim piece for the bottom of the hatch opening I ordered online from a place in Latvia.

Different countries seem to get different foam blocks for some reason, and some of them require a lot of trimming to get the spare to fit. This French market piece fits snugly and only required trimming to fit my lug wrench, which took all of 30 seconds. Since the R doesn't come with a spare, they come with a little portable compressor, so some people just deflate their spare so that it will fit around the trim piece, but I didn't really like that idea, nor did I want to start cutting the original piece, so I ordered the Euro piece so that I could keep it inflated properly.

                    Thanks!

I'm trying to decide what I should do with my OZs from the GTI. Any thoughts about the finish of them on the Oryx? I'm not sure the silver works too well with the pearl finish and I sort of feel like the wheels should have some contrast versus the rest of the car because of the black mirror caps, tinted windows, and dark tail lights.

I much prefer the oem wheels.

Is it just me or is there some crazy positive camber going on?

I think I'm leaning the same direction. If they were a bit darker I think they would be alright, but maybe this is a good time to change things up since I've had these for a few years now. The Cadiz have really grown on me though, so I think I'll stick with those for this year unless I find a ridiculously good deal on something new.

I think it's just the stretch on the tires and the shape of the rear bumper that give it the positive camber look. I didn't give the suspension a chance to settle either, so that probably doesn't help.

The tires look too small on the OZ wheels. I really like them though! Still pondering them!

Yeah the tires on the OZs are definitely too small. Two of them have bubbled sidewalls, so they'd need to be replaced anyway. I think they'd suit your R much better... They fit perfectly!
