      What a shame:

      Slowly coming apart :(

After accidentally knocking off the gear linkage in the process, my AEM gauge is now in beside the boost gauge.
Really need to wrap the beltline trim.

Time to update this ever so slightly:

Things have been going a little slower for financial reasons > Speeding in the USA = approx. $1,200USD in legal fees
I'm the least reckless driver there is, so it hurts paying that.

That put a hold on buying some nice new tools, so I've been mainly doing maintenance until I have the $/time to swap to K04s.
Cleaned the utter snot out of it last weekend, and couldn't be happier with how it looks now.

Bought a fender roller off of Amazon for $60, and redrilled it to suit the Audi bolts. This should give me enough clearance to not stress about rubbing at full lock.
unsure as to whether it would look better just a little bit lower?

On a serious note > Shoot me some ideas for what colour to paint my brakes!

                Now with lowerer!
My father gets in on Oct 7th for an ambitious 3 days stage 3 project before BFI Octoberfest in Raleigh.

Hurricane Matthew is starting to blow outside my window, and is likely to ruin my plans for going stage 3 over the weekend and into next week :(

The whole engine pull & swap timeline was based on my dad flying in from Ireland and me taking time off work to git 'er dunnnn. We've been planning it for months.
Anyway...we'll see what happens and if the house is still standing.

                  In the mail this week:
                  New vacuum hoses
Misc T-Pieces that will likely break
New k04 Turbo gaskets and seal kit
                  New Injector gaskets
                  Serpentine belt
DEI Exhaust wrap for the down pipes
DEI gold wrap for the inlets
                  Flywheel Bolts
                  Misc Tools galore

Fingers crossed that the evacuation/weather doesn't hit here too hard and we can get it all sorted!

My first US speeding ticket was also paid, which extracted $1,300 from my Meth Injection/Porsche Brakes fund :(
Once I'm stage 3 again, they won't catch me.

Good to see your sense of humour is still in tact!

Your garage looks pretty sturdy - car should be safe in there but sucks about the timing of this...

The car is just too big to fit unfortunately.
The basement was fitted out as a 2nd suite for guests, and they pinched a foot too much in order to make it work.

The cars will be outside, which is where we intended to work on them.
The last tropical storm took my car covers with it.

Hurricane Status Report - anything that wasn't inside, is now further away outside. My neighbor'a stack of full length 2x4s is now shared amongst the community. My deck furniture is now garden/ditch/sea furniture. The car covers are once again unmanned parrichutes, smothering some endangered species several miles away. The BBQ used to have a lid.

All of these things could have been prevented yesterday, but instead I cleaned the garage and made a work bench. Also borrowed a really nice engine hoist, leveler and engine stand. I stand by my decision.

I went into work his morning for 2hrs to check in things, only to return to this sight:

The difference that 35years experience makes. Engine out in under an hour!

It has all come to a grinding halt.
Somehow between June and November last year (the last time I drove the stage 3 car) it had developed play in the passenger side turbo.

Game over until they are both rebuilt :(
