  • 2010 Golf Stalling, help please.

Looking for some help or advice, the wife's 2010 2.5L Golf automatic is stalling randomly from stop. I have yet to experience it but she's telling me it occurs when she steps on the gas from idle, the car chugs just like it getting starved gas or dumping a clutch on a standard. However the car starts right up without issue and no codes are tossed. From what I've read online people have said it could be fuel pump or crankshaft sensor. Anyone experience this problem as it seems to be a lot online.

We have been seeing more and more of these at Calgary Autoworks, no confirmed fix just yet though. On the 2011-2014 there is a software update that is supposed to resolve that issue but on two cars it has not.

Great news It was in at Northland and they did some software updates but it obviously that didn't fix it.

My biggest concern which would be anybodies is that she might get hit from behind if it happens in heavy traffic and someone isn't paying attention.

Some people seem to be saying it's LP Fuel Pump

2.5s have a lot of funky issues surrounding the crank sensor and the main wiring harness from the ecm to the crank sensor. For how easy it is to change.. replace the crank sensor and see if it makes a difference.
