    Default Winter's here! 4motion time

First major snowfall of the year. Just got a new set of Nokian Hakka's yesterday. 4motion away!

Anyone else excited for some winter driving?

I had been told that the Continental DWS06 tires were actually pretty reasonable in the snow, but considering that these are 255's stretched on a 10.5" wheel, I was VERY impressed.

Is this Jeffrey’s old car? If so, I was the previous owner to him. It’s a fantastic W8 [emoji1303]

Are you planning to run the DWS06 in the winter?? I have a set that I’m debating using on our A4.

No, definitely not. I could see it being feasible if you don't drive a ton and aren't on a super low profile/stretch like mine, but still probably wouldn't risk it.
I have a set of Pirelli Winter Sotto Zero on the stock 19's, but I hammered a pothole in the spring and killed one sidewall, so I need to get that one replaced. Just waiting on Chad at Kal Tire to have a few minutes to take my call.

They are alright when they are new, the 245/45R18's on my allroad got me to work no problem this morning, can definitely attest that they do not compare to full winters. They are alright for transitional days like this, but I meant to put my winters on last weekend. If they are more than a season old they are no good in the snow.
