Anyone still going to meet up in the morning? I probably will since I don't have anything else to do in the morning.

    Info from the OP...

Meet up location: Safeway at elbow drive SW /4th street SW intersection. Decent size parking lot. 524 Elbow Dr SW, Calgary, AB T2S 2H6.

Date/meet up time: Saturday July 20th, 8:15AM. We will be leaving at 8:45AM exact.

    Hey Alex,

Because Das Volks is a VAG car show, we won't have a category for you to enter, and I don't know that we will have room for non-entrant parking on the grass with both shows occupying the park.

The Euro side of the show will have categories for all of your members driving other European models if they would like to enter the show. I know this still doesn't solve the issue of parking the Eurodrivers together, but you would then be able to park on the grass - and not on the street.

    Tracy,

For those of us with different makes (benz, mini, volvo, bmw etc) is there a point to registering if there is no chance of winning anything? Do we have to park on the street or do we get to park on the grass for free as "spectators" if there is no reason of entering not to be judged?

Derek, you can enter the DAS VOLKS Porsche Category, which will likely be next to the MK6 Category. And not far from the MK5 or MK4 Categories. We're going with a bit of a different layout to keep people a little closer together...

This isn't a competition between which car show is better than the other... we've combined to help the community grow together, not compete. :-) Please enter which ever show you would like to.

As posted in the Das Volks thread, we will have all of our usual categories, plus a Porsche/Audi Category to class yourselves in.

The Executive can discuss parking the Eurodrivers together for those that would like to park together, but that would exempt you from judging (because classing everyone in categories really does make it easier for the judges). And then you can park together and hang out by your cars. The $15 entry would still apply in this case. We are meeting tomorrow, so I can post an update then.

I hope this helps to sort out some questions.

It is easier for judging having generations with generations, this way nothing gets missed along the line, however if they are spread out everywhere it would be very easy to miss a/group of cars.

The roll in is just a way to show the others that us eurodrivers are like a big family....ish....
I cannot speak to someones decisions however leaving the decision to a week and a half before the show to try to get someone else to change how things are to be layed out (where generations will go, etc) is asking alot. I do understand wanting to park with your "group" however that overall to me is adding to the seperation between the clubs that currently exists. As much as anyone wants to act like the 3 groups in the city are all friends everyone knows that is far from the truth.

just ask on clubveedub website, I am sure you will get your answer

I get the "guarding" aspect in a way but even if someone is an asshat there it is still much better off in that field then ever parking at a mall or other public place, at lesast this way you will more then likely have someone seen who did something OR a picture of them doing it haha.

I am pretty sure the euro classic cars are going to be seperate from CVD but just at the same location. This way instead of 100 cars at each show it will be 200 at one show, this saves alot on advertising, logistics and show costs for both groups.
