The Calgary Sport Car Club (CSCC) Solo2 Novice School
Event dates:
Classroom : April 28 2005. (Thursday) 7:30pm-10:00pm
Driving : April 30 2005. (Saturday) 8:00am-4:00pm
Cost: $40 per person/$70 ( for 2 )
There are two parts to the school - classroom and hand-on.
The classroom session will be held on April 28, 2005 at the CSCC club house.(4215 80th Ave. N.E.) It is an introductory session on solo2, the preparation you will need before/at the event and some tips on car controls, safety inspection and the rule of the game. There will be a video presentation to show you what autoslalom is all about. The classroom session is mandortory to qualify for the driving session.
The track session ( Saturday, April 30, 2005 - Red Deer Westerner Ground 8:00am-4:00pm)
The track session will be a whole day event to give you a chance to have some fun behind the wheel and put everything you've learnt in the classroom into practice. Various instructors will accompanies you on a personal basis to give you inputs on your driving throughout the day. There will also be a little competition at 2nd half of the day to put everything together.
The school will be $40 per entrant. Bring a friend price is $70 dollars for 2 person. Online Registration will be available online at www.karelo.com . Watch this space for update on registration.
There is not much you will need to get you started at Solo2. As long as your car is in good mechanical condition and are prepared to have to fun that's about it. (having your own helmet ( Snell95 and newer) will be nice, although we have some loaner helmet )
