ah okay, I'll be here till June of 2015 as well, can't wait to get back to Calgary haha. They plowed Jasper ave last night and left a large berm of snow down the middle of it, stupid idiots didn't clear an opening for people to turn left into our condo entrance. Gotta love this city.

OP I know that feel. My front end is raised and plows roads hardcore in Edmonton. Thank god for my skidplate. Winter sucks.

Do you go to the U of A or here for work?

It's so sad. I got to the U of A! One more year after this year of school .

Don't worry Justin, you aren't the only one! I haven't had nearly as much motivation to work on the GTI since it it hit last year.

yea, so demotivating. Cars are probably the worst investment ever haha.

That's terrible, go grab two cans of whatever colored plasti dip and spray all of that on the lower portion of the bumper. It will help for sure. Or use a few layers of green painters tape instead of dip, as weird as it looks and sounds it will give you instant protection over the rocks.

That's a pretty good idea, especially when i drive back down to Calgary. I'm not dedicated enough to spen the time to do that though haha. I guess I'll just have to do some repainting this summer lol.

Missed this - when I brought my car up last year I had the same plan get 3M all done up... didn't happen. front got destroyed :( So I definitely feel your pain man.

Ouch, we should've 3M'd it. Fully regret it now haha. No offense, but I just hate Edmonton roads. Especially because it takes a week for them to clear the snow. :/

Well let me tell you, the irritation of getting rock chips on the remaining unprotected 30% is so much worse than if you didnt have 3m at all. Since that, all my cars have fully 3m'd fronts!

Agreed, never be a cheap asian and cheap out on the 3M. Save you tears later down the road :P.

I was planning to get 3M, but didnt have the time and money to get it. Should've would've could've. I'll probably get it after I respray my lip next year hopefully.

This is so discouraging. So I've raised my car for winter to almost stock height. Driving up here in Edmonton, they don't plow or flatten the snow in the neighbourhoods (or at least where I live). I've been pretty much plowing the roads for them with my car and my front lip is just pebbled with paint chips. Probably the most discouraging feeling ever, to spend all this time, money and effort into the car and to see it get beaten up like that. Really makes me want to stop with all this car modding and what not. I haven't even been browsing the regular car forums I usually do for the past few months. Don't get me wrong, I love cars, just a bit of a downer right now. Anyone else ever this kinda feeling? :/

Kinda part of the game I guess... It's all apart of Canadian car modding lol. Do you have any 3m on the front if the car? Definitely a high priority once I get my front resprayed.
