Re: My 2007 GTI
I highly doubt that Revo is killing the transmission. Tunes are thoroughly tested to ensure that damage does not occur. Find me one thread that shows that any tune (that can isn't ridiculous, giant turbo) that caused a DSG to blow up. The DSG's are known for their problems and sometimes have to go in for multiple fixes on their own.
I'm guessing the dealer is saying it is tune related?

Re: My 2007 GTI
I'm not sure what's going on then. I think total of 6000 miles on the tune... It's just really frustrating. I've heard good things about the clutches, I've also heard that the mechatronics can only handle around 300...

Re: My 2007 GTI
That's weird. I have the DSG and I'm stage 2... I haven't had any problems. The DSG clutch packs are good up until about 550HP

Re: My 2007 GTI
That really sucks...How many clicks on the tune before you started having issues??

Re: My 2007 GTI
Isn't the dsg supposed to hold up to like 400horse or something like that?Originally posted by dasmk2 View Postwell, it seems that revo stage 2 is killing my transmission.... i just had one replaced and now this one is getting to be the same way that the old one was after 1500 km, so ill probably be flashing my ECM to delete the tune.. not too stoked. Oh well i guess, life goes on. Damn DSG.
thats my useless update :P

Re: My 2007 GTI
Maybe true in the MK2 world, but in a MK5, I doubt you wanna chip up that nice white paint. Personally, I wouldnt bother getting spacers for the back. The stance is on point, maybe lessen the camber a smidge, and just enjoy driving that low without trashing your fenders. Its lookin great as is. Koni Coilovers FTW!Originally posted by dasmk2 View Postif your not rubbin, your not dubbin

Re: My 2007 GTI
I had missed your question above, no, no rubbing, the fenders are all rolled etc! Kinda sucks because everyone knows if your not rubbin, your not dubbin

Why compare sheer negligence to a mistake that i made? Makes absolutely no sense. Anyways if you want to argue further lets take it to PMs to avoid cluttering his threadOriginally posted by P Arkus View PostI know the quality of your work, but i'm not comparing that. I should be at the moxies meet on Thursday I think.
Hope to see it at some meets this summer
