Ottawa is in pretty bad shape right now after the winter we've had! Some nasty pot hole which could probably swallow up my car!

Even going to my aunts place in Pembroke this past weekend, Highway 17 was in pretty bad shape at some parts!

Here's a novel idea....stop growing. Stop moving the city limits every 2 years and stretching your road resources thinner and thinner. Let another municipality sprout up and let them deal with it.

Why Calgary thinks it is so f@cking unique and no other city in the world has ever dealt with these kinds of problems is astounding. They should be looking at these other cities to see where they are, how they got there, and what they can learn from their process. Ground level LRT...*shakes head*

While I'll admit, Edmonton's roads are bad, after moving here from Winnipeg a few years ago, Edmonton's roads are like a sheet of polished glass compared to Winnipeg.

How about southbound sarcee trail between 16ave and bow trail. Huge dip in both lanes that has been there and been marked with a bump sign for about a year and is getting progressively worse.

Hmmm, can't shake the feeling that Dean's referring to me...

Rondal's got it right. Call 311 and report. Make sure you ask for the "non-shovel leaning union suck holes". I hear they do better work.

Edmonton has TERRIBLE roads too.. ****, and I thought Ft.McMurray's were bad... living here I can see how much worse they are.

I've called a couple times this year. Seems hit or miss. One thing I reported was fixed, while another that has been bad for two years has been left as is.

someone who has actualy driven it should call the city. after reading that thread about the city not paying for damages cause they didn't "know" about stuff, i've just started calling them about all the crap they have to fix.
this way if something happens its covered.
we all should start doing this. it takes less than 2 minutes with 3-1-1.

Just say flat out that the road crew did a piss poor sub par patch job.

I still think Edmonton is worse, but Calgary is definitely getting super ****. I can't believe that strip of 12 ave downtown where the water main burst and they did the quick patch. What a joke.
