my friend is a chassis builder for them. you can get them for less than $70k, but most people who go to the lengths to get one of these built kind of go all out on them.

I REALLY liked the mk6 GTI, everything was right where it should be and it was just stunning...Deeply considering as my next vehicle in a while to come

The one 356 rep that was $77k.. had a 1.8T motor in it!! I'd LOVE one of those!!

Well I took a spin through the car show last night and I have to say there was some nice rides around! The exotics are now just amongst the regular cars with the Corral having all aftermarket and vendors now.

Some highlights were: Benz SLS, 2 Spykers, Aston Martin Rapide and DBS Volante, Bentley Conti Supersports (loved it!), R8 V10, Ferrari California, nicely optioned 911 Targa 4, 3 Lotus', 3 Lambo's including a Balboni. There was even a fair bit of eye candy working a few of the booths too!

My uncles car. We're going for a rip on Wednesday or Thursday.

Whoa... thats pricey. Most replicas in the US are significantly cheaper.. if only we could import them.

I found it lacking compared to last year (not the show cars, but models I get to sit in and check out). Limited/no amg and M models unlike last year which had the c36 black and the only S was a locked s5 that was sold to someone. WTF.

And the chev display had a bloody rental spec impala in better space than the CTS-V. Madness.

I was impressed with most of the Ford offerings and the RX-8 took a bunch of my time. The mk6 GTI sure is nice for the price though, certainly a top contender.

Little OT but how do those kits compare to the 3M kits? Using the 3M kit right now to clean up the jetta headlights.

Bentley Continental Supersports;
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing;
Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport;
Porsche 356 Speedster Replicas; and
Virtually everything at the Davenport Motorsports booth.
