Re: Y U mad Vancouver?
These weren't hockey fans lighting **** on fire, it was the bridge and tunnel crowd from the burbs coming downtown with backpacks with gas masks, rocks and molotov cocktails to destroy **** regardless of the outcome of the game.
People in Calgary can sit and call Vancouver classless and the rest....some of the comments I saw coming from people out of Calgary over facebook and twitter about what was happening was beyond deplorable. What the news here and around the world wont show is the outrage the city of Vancouver has for what happened and the countless volunteers who showed up to help clean up their city, and the citizens who are turning in the assholes that did this in record time.
For a few, this riot would have happened regardless of the outcome. They came prepared and simply used the hockey game as an excuse. 100 losers tarnished the reputation of a world class city.

X2 on the quote. Funny I actually read it on a friends Facebook status first. Its making its way around nicely. I also saw the comment "Vancouver, there's no need to set your city on fire to show your support for the flames" lol

Re: Y U mad Vancouver?
I definetly noticed that! I don't htink any of the ppl in the riot were actually wearing jerseys. I mean, some of the drunks were harassing cops... But the ones breaking and burning **** were wearing back-packs and scarfs, etc... They must have had a riot already planned. Or they are just riot boyscouts who come prepared with hankerchifs and scarfs.Originally posted by Kona Bear View PostWhat a bunch of fools. So much for Van city's Olympic legacy!
Something else that disturbs me: I have a good friend on the CPS croud control unit. He worked the G8 summit in TO last year and he told me at events like that, the cup finals, etc... that there are low life people out there who pay other low lifes to start these riots! Ya causing chaos like that is my idea of a good time....NOT

Nice. And yep... that pretty much sums it up.Originally posted by aliencurv View Post
PS. Vancouver must be "winning" just like Charlie Sheen. Come to think of it... looks like the majority of fans had too much Tiger Blood... and well... you all know... the only way to reduce your level of Tiger Blood is to trash euro's, smash windows and steal power bars and iPods.
