Re: Windsheild defroster
I know it looks like crap but I have one of these: http://www.princessauto.com/trailer/...c-heater-/-fan
It heats up almost instantly. Certainly faster than the regular front defroster in my Jetta.

Re: Windsheild defroster
That is what the Subies have too. Just around the blades.

Re: Windsheild defroster
Some Mercedes have them around the edge and by the windshield wipers.

Re: Windsheild defroster
I believe a few cars have them as options, such as the Mini. I think here the cost of them is an issue especially with windshields taking such a pounding, would be a lot more to replace when you get a rock chip, but not entirely sure.

Re: Windsheild defroster
Some idea as the rear window defroster, except the heating elements are alot thinner and there are alot more of them so your vision is not blurred. It is turned on by a button on the dash.

Hire a hooker to lay on your windshield every morning?
I honestly haven't seen such a thing, how does it work?

Windsheild defroster
A boring day at the office got me thinking: Does anyone know why we in North America do not have a windshield defroster in our vehicles? When I was in Europe, my ford focus had this feature. None of the euro's I've driven here has it.Tags: None
