Yeah its really about someone else having put down a deposit and taken a very long term on the lease, so that you can get in for a shorter term with a very low rate.

There isn't one, other than the fact that some individuals will pay you a lump sum as an incentive or perhaps they have put a large deposit down making it a cheaper buyout or lease rate.

Ehh I looked at this for a bit and already I can tell its not for me.

People's payments are just too high for me to justify losing the money over 12 months. I think I can do better buying a cheaper car for 10-15k and flipping it in 12 months. I don't add many kms since I also share my Mk6 GTI with my wife.

I have a friend looking to offload his lease in the coming months. It's not up to your normal standards or car, but could fill the gap for you. I think he is wanting to sell outright, but may not have considered a transfer of lease. Car is a year old Imprezza. PM me if you want me to connect the two if you.

    Taking over a lease?

So I am going to be between cars this summer and thinking about temporarily paying someone else's lease as a way to 'rent' a car.

Anyone know much about this? What can I expect for the lower end of lease payments per month? Where would I find someone who wanted me to pay their lease for a year?
