Triple G is right. non-interference. i've replaced lots that have come in on the hook with no internal problems.

Rabbit GTI Motor question
Just wondering if someone can tell me if the GTI motor (JH I believe?) is a no-clearance motor. In other words, if you lose the timing belt is there a good chance that a valve or Con rod is going to get bent (or worse)?
