My car has 160k and who knows if it has ever been done, probably not. So im looking forward to seeing if its bad or not lol.

ya i used carb cleaner. worked awesome. and also blew it out with some air.

use brake clean and an air hose.
AND MAKE SURE IT'S DRY.
paint thinner i believe still leaves some residue

ya there is a raelly good one on vortex too. i did this. not that much oil and crap came out.

just be careful using that stuff around your paint or any rubber hoses

You can use toluene (paint thinnners) to flush, then rinse with water

it would be a good idea to clean it...u will notice better air flow and its gonna give it some extra power that it lost with it being all blocked up inside.
Your not looking at gaining 20hp but it is good to do it.

Stock Intercoolers?
I was reading an artical in european car the other night. It was talking about how with after market intercoolers, you need to flush them about every 10,000 miles so they dont get gunked up. I just have the stock side intercooler in my jetta, do you need to do this with stock intercoolers? Advantages or negitives to this?Tags: None
