Re: Clutch Noises.
Definatly, if its an actual issue Mike could be looking at a huge cost and some serious problems.

Re: Clutch Noises.
Oh Burley, please mind your own buisness. What happened yesterday really had nothing to do with a flywheel, its simply boiled down to Mike and I not getting along. If you look at the thread again, did I really instigate anything in the first place? Kor basically said the same thing I did just a post or two before yet Mike felt the need to personally attack me. Its all good. We can all move on now.

I think its more so to give Mike more insight into the problem, if there is one. Duby should have kept his mouth shut when insulting Mike.

Clutch Noises.
in my days when you put a 350 chevy flywheel into a 400 block you had vibration and noise.
one was balanced by the flywheel and one by the crank.
16lb flywheel is not lightened.
when you hear chattering and noises followed by vibrations you are out of balance and get ready for tranny and engine work.
Spec clutches are not worth the aggravation.
bring it back for warranty or at least a letter saying the noises you hear are normal.
maybe the pressure plate is not torqued properly or they impacted the flywheel tight and warped it.
That noise is terrible.Tags: None
