well took it to tunedub turns out some wiring just wasnt plugged in properly.
works fine now.

I scanned the car, but nothing came up for the transmission.
Can any one take a look at this? Maybe its something simple.

I want to see if its worth fixing before I buy another transmission.

I can look at it but not until the 15th.

there is a clubveedub selling a "front clip" minus the body work with a vr6. im pretty sure its standard. Might want to look into that. probly get the whole thing for 400. he just wants it gone. then pedals and such are easy to get.

id still rather just do the swap, the car only has 37 xxx km.
and its in mint condition.

bell housing for vr6 is different than any o2a. you need vr6 specific. you need a pedal cluster, clutch master/slave, cable shift housing and cables, mounts, starter. get your money back.

I bought a 96 Passat GLX VR6 today, its got a auto tranny thats stuck in 3rd gear. I havent had a chance to scan the car yet, but i think its just stuck in limp mode.

If the tranny is totally broke, i think it would be cheaper to swap a 5 speed in.

Does any one have an 02A tranny? or could i just use the 020 out of my none running Jetta?
