A 4L of G11 at the dealership is fairly cheap.

G11 has been discontinued it has been replaced by G12 ++ which can be mixed with both coolants.It will turn brown thou when mixed with G11 which is
normal.

As other have said, G11. It's like $15 from vw, be sure to mix I with "de-ionized" water, which can be bought at canadian tire for like $3.

Do not mix prestone or anything from Canadian tire if you're running G11 or G12. It will gel.

I have a jug of G11 at my house. Brand new.

Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if it's just "green stuff" though. The generic coolant.

If I just go to crappy tire and pick up some coolant do I need to get a flush as i have no idea what is currently being used in my G11, G12...

I used the regular stuff from Can tire. I think we bought pre-mixed for my cabby and my dad is using the non-pre mixed stuff. Then just diluted it himself.

I believe they are "supposed" to use VW G12 coolant

What type of coolant do I need for a 1991 Jetta Wolfsburg? Can it be picked up from Canadian tire or is this like a VW dealer “thing”
