I had a revo in my 1.8t and it was pretty great. The SPS3 let me screw around with the settings to accomodate a changed turbo and water injection and so forth.

I have a Unitronic on my 2.0 tsi right now and it seems pretty good, although George won't put on the stage 2 until I get a downpipe. Poo.

I've had the Revo on my 2007 Rabbit for over 2 years now and like it just fine, the car has handled the new redline with no issues (really only makes noise after 5800) Intake is the biggest thing you can do for the 2.5 if the air box is still the engine cover.

On a 2.5L I wouldn't do it. Not big enough gain to really feel it IMO.

Went and got the stage 1+ Unitronc tune at Tunedub in the car yesterday. Car is way more responsive at cruising speeds, runs great no cels etc., pulls great very very happy with it. And there was a $50 discount for it. For me this was the best choice out of them all and they are a Canadian company.

my boys at calgary autoworks ran the revo on my both my ecu's in the rs4 and it ran extremely well. the hp gain wasn't as great as the turbo flash would give. but the torque gains were awesome. my rs4 put down 458 ft/lbs with the new flash dyno'd at wheels. it was well worth the $700 + 200 (select plus switch) for the gains the rs4 made.

i ran the revo dual ecu flash along side with the revo select plus switch. this allowed for 3 different tune selections based on the type of fuel i used. for the daily driver, this is plenty unless you want spend the $ and time on the dyno with a experienced tech.

revo came out with their mk6 flash last july 2009. this is should be easily available through the revo dealer network.

I have revo and it is awesome, but I am changing to eurodyne mystro(spelling) because it offers a lot more tuning options and you get access to your ecu to make small tuning changes. But it is $900, and I've heard well worth the money.
I take it sam from CAW drilled this into your head? While i do agree that you have way more options to adjust and tune, revo has been proven to make power on all sorts of applications from a k03 to a gt3076r. If you want to get maestro, youll be spending time and money dyno tuning the car to get it where it should be.

I to have been talking with Matt @ Maxpower about tuning my 2.0T....I am told the gains are significant on a turbo but would love to drive in one first.

Well with a Golf (2.5) you do not get near the gains as the turbo and TDI cars so it may not be worth as much money to you. Also to this point with MK6s the flash loading has not been cracked yet so some companies are not actually doing it yet or are removing the ecu to flash it directly, at least for the 2.0Ts.

Revo has a free 5 hour trial for most cars. Try before you buy. Disclosure: I have revo and like it pretty well.
