The only way that it would void warranty if he/she didn't install it properly and it ended up causing issues. Since that it wasn't install by a professional they could use that to refuse warranty, they would have to prove that it was your wrongdoing.

dented/cracked and tiny leak. car is a 2009 gti (on fk silverlines)

if i replace my oil pan, but not at the dealer... will this void my warranty?
