I put the stock 5 spoke 17s off an A4 on my 2003 Wagon, I painted them bodycolor and as my wife primarily drives the wagon with our kid in it, she won't let me lower it, here is a crappy pic from the garage when I first brought it home with the wheels on it. The ride quality is quite good still.

stefan my bros b5.5 has 18's in the summer with stock suspension and it doesn't look TOO bad but needs a drop still

rolling looks better than standing i'll put it that way ahha

i can email you a few pics if you like next to my s4 at stock height even

Not arguing that that doesnt look sweet, but would look 4x4 at stock height... I love the lowered look but I just don't think it makes sense in this car for where I will drive it. Maybe I'll change my mind of I keep looking at pics...

I don't think I will lower my Passat. I've used all the clearance it has on the camping trip I just went on. What I'm wondering is how big a wheel can I get on this thing at stock height before it looks like crap? I have 16"s now. I'm sort of thinking 17's are probably as big as I can go before it starts looking dumb. Thoughts?
