  • Winter Wheels: Caliper Clearance

Quick question for my knowledgeable Canadians

Last night I test fit my B5 S4 17" Avus wheels over my Porsche 18Z calipers. I knew it would be tight, but I've at least heard of people doing so.
It required 20mm spacers and I'm waiting on some 50mm shank bolts to come in.

Is this too tight for comfort? Would snow/grit pack up in there and cause issues?

I'm heading up to chilly Ottawa from the sunny beaches of North Carolina, and would rather be on my comfortable all seasons than sport tires.

The caliper will stop stuff from building up, I guess if you had a freeze/thaw you might get some ice in there and run into issues. If a rock gets in there it might leave a mark.

But Colin, what you're really telling me is to man the F up, right?

It'll only be for a few weeks hopefully, then I'll be back down south away from the snow.
The only way I see it being an issue is if my wheel bearing were on the way out
