    Re: 05 Passat Wagon TDI

Well, that was actually a smooth fix. Unfortunately, I had it all back together and realized I didn't tension the AC belt... but that was fairly minor!

    Re: FS: 2014 Audi Allroad

Oh, I should add that it seems to need a new CV. I've been in to have it all looked and things are pretty solid at the moment, and it was not obvious which joint was occasionally clicking. Decided...

    FS: 2014 Audi Allroad

Hi all. Time to part with my Allroad.

I'm the second owner. Maintained mostly by the dealer by original owner, and during it's CPO warranty period which ended this winter, and then had a few...

Hi DJ, yeah, I did check timing and it was pretty darn good. I got an EGR from Ben though and after swapping that it seems to be behaving.

    Re: Allroad Body Work Fail

The fix, for Carstar, would have meant starting over. There was no way a quick cut and polish was going to fix the stuff I pointed out. The MOST obvious is the paint contamination, as that was a...

    thanks for feedback.

I got an estimate of 7000$ to have another shop fix!
The ridges are particularly bad as they had the car twice and doubled up the thickness of the ridge.... I get that a little is fairly normal.

    Passat starting issues

    Hi,
At a loss on a hard starting issue on my 2005 Passat TDI.

Cold starts are good. Hot starts intermittently require a ton of cranking.

Swapped EGR (with another used one, but seems unlikely...

  20. Re: Project "Too Much on My Plate" - Audi A5 Rebuild

I had that happen in a similar way on a car that didn't get out much. It was not even either. Most rust built up on the outer inch or so of rotors so the pads ended up getting carved with a step in...

I have an unused pilot bearing. It fits B5 Passat TDI, but likely other VW and Audi fitment as well

I won't use it. If anyone else needs one, let me know.
