  • Mk4 R32 rocker help needed

I got a rear rocker panel with a dent and I would like to know if it can be pulled or pushed?
Golf isn't drive-able so work would be at my place in the SE but the garage is heated, air compressor, welder, 240V available as well as power tools.

I am planning to keep this car for a long time and use it as a daily so i don't need a show car job. I'll take car of the rust obviously but I am not sure if it can be done.
I am not planning to cut a put a new or used rocker in place so I am not sure what solutions are available.

If you have any idea or want to do the job, reply to the thread or PM.

    Thanks.

I have a Unispotter you could borrow or I could come pull it. It welds on little studs then you put a slide hammer on and pull the dent out. Have done it a number of times on various repairs/repaints I've done.

Thanks a lot, I would like that.
I was under the wrong impression that the rocker at that emplacement would be more than one layer of metal and something like that wouldn't be possible, happy I was wrong.

Would it be possible for me to pass by tomorrow afternoon to borrow it for a day?

      Thanks.

You'll definitely see it. Won't be perfect by any means but there won't be rust anymore and it was the goal.

                  Here you go Colin.
It is not perfect but way better than it was and the main point, no rust anymore.

From over 1" deep crease, I am back to about 1\4" deep. I still need to clean a little inside the rocker panel as stud welding certainly damaged and burned the "inside" paint and fill it with liquid wax.
