  • Dutch Vento

Hi guys, I've been offline for a while but a lot has changed since. Got rid of my golf due to heatercore and rust issues. This thread is dedicated to my new Vento. I took most of the parts off the golf and put them on the vento so it's pretty much the same. There is a set of brock b1 wheels on the way so at least it will look a bit different from the golf. I can write a whole lot about it but pictures say much more...

You should do a golf front end swap if they are the same colour

Well I prefer a Golf over a Vento but glad to see the MK3 love living on!!!! Look forward to seeing it on the Brocks!!

I'm not really a fan of front swaps. Although a vento front on a cabbie looks awesome somehow. The colors aren't the same but the difference is not that big. This is the first vento I've owned and I'm really happy with it. Having 3 kids it's even practical. The front bumper is gonna be swapped for the golf's cause vento vr6 splitters are hard to come by. The wheel flares and door strips from my golf are also coming on and I've bought a rear bumper with textured top and an early vento grill. This is the look I'm going for...only with different wheels

              Re: Dutch Vento

It's been a while, not much has happened since. The wheels I wanted turned out to be rubbish so that's not going down. Got myself a brand new rear bumper and I already ordered colormatched rattle cans to paint it. The golf's front bumper is not in top condition so it's gonna get a respray as well. Decided not to use the wheel flares after all. Just textured top bumpers and door strips. Haven't driven the vento for a while so I took it for a spin the other day. Ended up at the carwash, then drove around a bit more and took some pictures.

I still have lots of plans:

              - All black interior (still missing a few parts)
              - Other wheels
              - More low (wheel arches will be widened soon)
              - Full detail
              - Audio upgrade
              - Smoked tail lights
              - Removing the pullig hook at the rear (don't know what to call it in english lol)

Let me know what you guys think and any tips/ideas are welcome

                  Thanks man!

Did some work on the car today:

                  - early vento grille (was done last week)
                  - textured top golf bumper with vr splitter and bonrath air intakes
                  - textured door mouldings
                  - textured top rear bumper which I sprayed myself
                  - pulling hook behind the car removed

The wheel flares will be coming on soon
