These two car's prices range about 1k within each other and largely depends on who's bidding a the auction on that day, so he's definitely charging too much for that.

There's a difference between doing the work yourself to import one, than to have one landed and ready to drive. No inspection needed, no hassle of shipping. Just buy and drive. Convenience is worth something.
And My guess is the s3 is more expensive than a Jetta.
Jesus is that what these are going for nowadays or is the seller dreaming! Love those cars though!
yeah this one is pretty much spot on. Only 678 built with the E46's S54 motor and this is a very desirable colour with fairly low miles. This colour was also unique to the S54's (except for one custom order on the S52 cars) Looks good in the pics.
The cars you could buy for 72k... and someone would choose that.
They are definitely an acquired taste! and in the grand scheme of things, there aren't too many appreciating assets in it's category so they are a solid investment.
