Is this actually a decent deal? asking for a uh friend.

If you get a bore scope done and the cylinder walls aren't peeling then it might be reasonable. Expect to spend $8-13K on the timing chain service at a shop if you don't do it yourself.

- Carbon cleaning has not been done - Its not direct injection, this is not relevant
- Accident and Claim free
- Zero Rust
- some Light scratches in clear-coat but no damage to body

Another good question someone should ask is if the engine has been bore scoped to check for cylinder wall peeling.

Pretty certain I've seen that car up for sale for a while. The issues with it and the fact that it's been modded are what are probably preventing him from selling it. That would be my guess at least.

I checked out the car. Has some nice things done to it, nice seller. It was pretty dirty in and out when I saw it. Front end needs new fenders and a respray. But I think the biggest factor driving people away is it needs a heatercore.

It’s high, but it’s not a million miles away from where it should be. I sold my clean white/blue one a month ago for low teens and it had been resprayed over 10 years ago. My car was clean but far from perfect, with very similar mileage. If this truly is original, I’d expect it to fetch somewhere between 13-16k if he listed it on BAT.
