We have been doing some research and it seems like everyone else has higher shipping rates than us!

We have stuck to the $20.00 shipping rate to Canada, Thanks for understanding

Yes, rodman, very true, we unfortunately know this, so it has to be tracked. . Well we have shipping set up to $20.00 to Canada now, a little discount, and if we do the $3.00 extra after our discounts / fees, it won't be much and it will be $10.50 vs $20.00 and the $10.50 will only be for first class mail.

    Thanks for the advice.

I am happy to hear that none of your wife's packages were lost, lets say here packages started to go missing, would she then charge for tracking?
To answer the question that you posed for BaggedGLI, you are responsible.

You add a little bit on every order to the shipping cost, say $3.00, and if a package goes missing you use this as your insurance. This will more than cover any lost packages that might happen along the way.

She gives people the option for what type of shipping they want. She has shipped to all parts of the world and, really, hasn't had any issues at all. Let's say that 1 in 20 tell you they don't receive the package (10 times as many compared to my wife), the other 3 x 19 that you received from the shipping covers this cost easily.

I honestly think that there shouldn't be any issues at all shipping the items First Class Package.

Again, I would love to hear suggestions, I just had someone ask me to be a distributor withing Canada, it sounds like something that might be a good idea...I will try to work out details.

    Thank you

    Seriously bud.

Either A) you are not moving an appropriate volume at your price point to be making enough. or B) you're not charging enough to cover the odd one that doesn't arrive C) you're a cheap ass.

Give people the option, allow a very large time frame for the USPS, i've NEVER had a problem ordering things from the states with USPS to Canada. Hell charge $10 and put it in a small box so it doesn't get lost rather than a folder.

I can tell you right now. I have suppliers I have dealt with on eBay that send me high quality stuff i've been using for years for dollars a bulb, free shipping. At $23 shipping I will never place an order.

So if the package is lost we will be out of the product and we will have to refund the money to the customer.. We are a small business, that is something we cannot do. $23.00 is for USPS priority mail with a tracking # and protection against a package not getting there.
My wife makes jewelry and sells it online. Most orders she sends out are done like this. Over the last year she has sent out over 200 orders using this method and has only had one issue. Package arrived one day late because of customs, but it arrived. I would at least give people the option for both types of shipping.

Lets be honest here, think about how many MORE orders you would get from Canadian customers and weigh that against the odds (say 1 in 20) that your package gets lost (which cost you a total of maybe $30 to get together and ship out). I could be wrong but it certainly seems like that would be the better business model for this product in particular, on some more expensive items maybe not, but this item for sure seems this way.

We would love to ship everything at $7.50, but can we be honest? If the package is lost is the customer going to say "ok, well you tried, thanks away" or are they going to put in a claim for a refund, not caring that we shipped it and it is NOT our fault???

We want to ship to Canada, we have 2-3 emails everyday asking about shipping, we quote the $23.00 and some pay and others say it is too high.

We would like to try that option to ship it to a place in Canada, can you put us in contact to see how that works?

    Thanks for listening.

Thanks, the only thing I can think of is that he is referring to eBay possibly?

That sounds like a good idea too. We shipped a lot to Canada but I like to save people money and I hate that they have to pay such high shipping cost to be honest, that is why I am trying to do this.

at $55 the price is very low compared to other LED without lifetime warranties.

We never had one person say anything to us about the price other than it was very low and questioned the quality. In response, we don't charge overhead, and we price these very low to get our name out there, we were going to raise the price even so we can stay in business and bring these amazing LED sets to everyone.

    Thank you
