I have a 2000 1.8T Jetta for sale in Calgary. Car is still licenced in Sask but will be transfering plates over soon. Selling because were going to buy a new or 04 TDI.

Also have a question about buying a used Jetta and not sure where to ask?
Found a used 2004 Jetta GLS TDI with 27000km asking $28500 that is nice but just wondering what the price is I should pay for a used 2004? Looked up the black book value and the 2004 jetta tdi gls is $19509-$21288 so thats what they would be getting for a trade in value corect? + taxes off? So what should the max price be that i pay for a used 04?

I haven't looked at prices lately, but that does seem a tad high for a used car. Reminds me..... about a year after I bought my Jetta, I saw a used one for sale from the same dealer.... identical car ro mine, 1 year old, 20 or 25k km, and they were trying to sell it for only $500 less than what i bought mine for new!

Ya that is pretty high considering i could buy a 05 for just over 30000.

So would $25000 be around what i should pay tops?

When we were looking to get a new car last year we look at a 2.0 litre Jetta pretty much base '01 15,00km and they wanted $24,000 for it and 7.9% financing. We looked at the dealer and you could get the same car but an 03 for 25000 0 km and I beleive 2.9 % fincing. The price does seem a bit high what about privatly?

I got the out of province inspection completed now and it only needs a faulty rear seat belt fixed which will be done on Fri then its good to go
