WTB: '02 & up 1.8T Engine Cover

OK, I F@#ked up a weekend painting project
So I'm looking for an engine cover to fit a 1.8T. I believe it is the same cover for 99.5 and up (except for the badge and lettering difference in the '03 model). Anyways, alot of people run without the covers so if you are willing to part with yours, please let me know how much you want for it.

Hehe, Actually I didn't even get to the paint part yet. I was sanding the '20V-Turbo' lettering off and must've had the grinder set on "Destroy"

Many tools of mine have that DESTROY setting .. always friggin jams... LOL good luck ----Derrick

Just out of curiosity how much does it run new from dealer? I might paint mine so it will be good to know how cautious to be. We all have destroy settings ready and willing.

Not sure about the smaller "L" shaped piece. But the main piece (with the emblem) runs about $120 from the dealer

damn! 120 i think those carbon fiber covers are that much.. hey anybody think it would look cool to get one of those carbon fiber covers then paint it lightly with reflex silver so its painted but you can still see the weave?

Not quite. The ABD carbon fibre ones retail for like $236USD!!!
But to answer your question...Yes they would look cool

Would a NB 1.8T engine cover fit on our engines? Just curious as it would be somewhat more "custom" then a regular engine cover...

umm seat, audi tt, umm some other euro covers fit outs no problem.. bunch of people on vortex swapped covers for other ones

The SEAT Ibiza Cupra R and the 225 TT covers don't fit ours because of the intake goes the opposite dirrection...
