Agreed that the starbucks isnt ideal better, but still better than the second cup IMO. If you want comfort, its going to be a trade off. We can either pick a noisy area where we all get to sit together, or pick a quite area where everyone is disbursed.

There's lots of places we can choose from, but its always going to be one or the other (small and quiet vs big and loud).

If anyone has some ideas that will work then speak up, because at this point Second cup does not work and we figured that out the hard way last time.

Starbucks in Deerfoot Meadows isnt perfect but it can hold more people sitting then Second cup can. Theres a ton of coffee shops around the city but they usually wont be able to hold more then maybe 10-12 per table. If large groups keep coming out to the sunday meets durning winter, then the little coffee shops wont work thats why I suggested the pub in signal hill by Tim Horton.

Another idea is maybe Chinook mall. We can pick a section were we can all park and grab a starbucks/second cup coffee and take over the food court?

Downtown is also quiet on sundays. Can always find a coffee place that has nice seating inside however outside parking might be an issue.

Central Blends in Hillhurst is an awesome Breakfast/Brunch spot, but parking is street and it's in the NW, so it's already a no from most folks.

There's Waves in Springbank then.

It will be louder then second cup for sure but if we get more then 8 people second cup just doesnt have the space to sit everyone. Maybe just do winter coffee meets at Starbucks at Deerfoot meadows as the space works great there? I dunno but I doubt everyone who comes out often, wants to stand out side for 1-2 hours when its -20.


Just another idea, there is the Seanachie Pub by Tim Hortons, they are open on sunday mornings for breakfast at 9am. Maybe move it there? It will be quiet and tons of space for bigger group and still have lots of room for parking.

I've done pub breakfast quiet often and never been asked for I.D. You're going for eggs and coffee I don't see it being a problem. Come out and give it a try at least

Yeah come out Kuji. It'll be fine . Most pubs, when they open for breakfast, will allow minors.

Sorry Jerry about the mix up. Didn't know that they served alcohol with Breakfast (with that knowledge I may have to rethink my Sunday morning drinking). Maybe it is time to make a fake ID so you can order Eggs Benedict. Don't feel bad after you left they carded Rod.
