School me on the E39 540......

Ive been looking at a few of these on the internet, and they are now on the top list of cars to replace the GLI.
Im looking for some input on the car, Good/Bad whatever.
Ive heard of some issues with the clusters and Radiators

Yea, Radiator problems on the V8's should be good to go on the 6's

Is the other way around, 5 series with 6 cylinders have problems with the elbows cracking on the radiatores, clutch it depends on your driving style, mo tor is a 4.3l v8 iron block aluminum heads, power 286hp and 310lbs, 0-60 6.2s, top speed is 155mph, software, intakes an exhaust are crazy power gains for it. Very reliable my boos is got one and he loves it.

i'd go v8.. i had a ride in colins dads 5series with a v8 and manual.. it was damn fun

My mistake then I guess, a co-worker of mine had a 5 series and talked about how glad he was that he didn't get a V8 for that reason.

I worked on BMWs from a 318 all the way to a brand new M5 since 1992, and the bimmers with rad problems are the ones with 6cylinders, is very rare to have a V8 bimmer with that kind of problem, if your car over heats, then any thing can go wrong with it. it all depends how you take care for your car.
Go for the 540i, you will love it.
