thats weird...a problem (and codes) like that is almost always coilpacks. I saw your car at George's this morning...he'll figure it out for you

well i talked to george. apparently my car is in dire need of a tune up. all the spark plugs needed to be replaced and one was dead. so it's all good

That's the ignition control module I was talking about. I guess they like to go from time to time in these cars. Did you get a decent deal on a new ICM for it? I heard the dealers are askin around $600 for one of these. Oh well, good to hear that it's running again for ya!

yeah it's running again! george had an aftermarket one that he threw in for me. that was 280. i drove around the city last night and everything is running good.

I know for A4 ones, you can get the Beru ones quite cheap at C1

is that those things that sit on top of the airbox??

yes it is, the ICM's are on top of the airbox, the b5 s4 has 2 for each cylinder bank, it seems that alot of the time in these cars that the ICM is at fault in this situation and not the coilpacks which are pretty reliable in these cars I guess.

well all i can say is that it's fixed and it wasn't anything mechanical or serious.
