  • Fun times at the track last night...

Here's a vid of a pass I made last night. I was running a very conservative base map for software because I just barely threw the meth kit in the car yesterday afternoon, so I didn't have time to tune it at all and I didn't want to do any damage to the car.

Yeah if I could figure out how to get a good launch on the crappy tarmac I'd be in business. I was hitting trap speeds of 113 on my 13sec passes, but only 109 on the 12.7 passes. Maybe I should tune the software for meth and throw some race fuel in. I did those runs on pump gas...

We'll see in a couple weeks. Maybe I'll lose some weight (tool kit, all sorts of junk that was in my trunk, etc) and throw some 109 in the gas tank. If I can hit 11's in Calgary, I'd be running close to low 11's or high 10's at sea level on a good track

nice runs for the first time out, what was you 60 foot like, cause 109mph to run a 12.7 is a 1.8 or so. you'll need to trap at least 117 to run a high 11. Im sure you have lots more left in your car. it would be nice to see you run some 11's here thats 4 sure. I raced here in Calgary and Ontario and my mph was the same. I thought it would of went down cause we are so high here.

Yeah I ran 12.7 two different times, and the 60 ft was 1.8 and 1.9, which I could definitely get down a couple .10's with a better launch. What kind of times did you run here Dom? Was it in your Jetta or the A4?

Yeah, you definitely have a lot left onthe plate there Jordan...
With my split F hose I ran a 13.1 @ 111 with a 2.3 60ft time on my race program.. I found the shift points out of third made the biggest difference in mpg. (Should be shifting at around 6-6500 out of third) My MPH ranged from 108-111 that night.. with the 111 shifting just past 6k.
11's would definitely be a lofty goal....

Yeah, I was hitting 113 when I shifted at about 6000 rpm's into 4th. It just depends on how quickly your car builds boost after the shift, as well as how hard your car pulls up top.
