Well guys i have decided that im going to keep the A4, and since i have a K04 and all the fixin's sitting in my garage its going to be significantly quicker. I know this horse has been beat dead on audizine, and many other forums, but none were Calgary based, and the conclusion is generally the same. "go with the closest dealer with the best rep".. well since we have GIAC (tunerworks), APR (concept-1), and Revo (the place at the toyota dealership), which do you guys recommend. I want to know your opinions based on experience, customer service, price, and performance.

We both have 1.8t B6's... and I love the Unitronic programming.
A friend with a B6 also has it with no problems as well. A buddy with a B5 and GIAC has a CEL that never goes away and he can't pull away even though his car is lighter to begin with and has a full APR exhaust and testpipe.
George tunes Unitronic in Calgary now, plus you get the 30-day money back guarantee. It's one of the only chip tuning companies that doesn't turn off any factory sensors to work properly and still has no issues with CELs (aka MILs). The guy who started Uni is a former Bosch programmer who worked on Audis back in the day and went his own way. Plus they obtain the same power with less boost than the 'big three,' APR, GIAC, and REVO.
When I'm back in the city I can take you for a rip if you like, let you drive it a bit to see what you think. But you really can't beat a 30 day money back trial.

I can get you a semi-custom tune for your car done by the master of tuning himself, Mike "Piggie" Shimon. I will take his base file and tweak it for you and get the car running with just the amount of boost you prefer, programmed for our altitude, and to run the fuel you prefer. VAST puts out the most power with the best fuel economy to my knowledge. We can do any Audi and most VW's. Here's a link to my VAST tuned S4, full weight and exhaust running at Race city a little over a week ago...
1/4 mile run
BTW, the car that you can't see in the vid is a Mk3 Golf which ran a 20sec 1/4...Last edited by The_Jerbel; 07-15-2008, 12:54 AM.Jordan

What most people are missing is that he is looking for a k04 file.. and most companies like APR and GIAC(AWE) only sell those as a complete upgrade kit.. I would look around to see who actually sells seperate k04 file.. then go from there. VAST would certainly be a good option if they have a K04 1.8T file.

AHHHHH F*** I was just pulling out my turbo kit and the god damn f***ing bottom of the box collapsed out of it. The turbo fell right onto my injector bag and broke one, possibly two of my TT225 injectors. Getting all horny to go (** see slightly) faster just cost me $200, if i can even buy the injectors individually.Last edited by ridelikeme; 07-15-2008, 12:37 PM.

Re: Best performance software? (just read)
Unitronic offers K04 tunes with out schlepping the whole kit and caboodle.
And I'll definitely take you up on the drive but it'll have to be when I have some time... I'm working 60 hours a week and now have to burn to Calgary this week after work one night and that night definitely won't work. Unless you meet me on the road for a couple pulls on my way back north. If you're game I'll pm you some more details on my timing.
With the injectors (sorry to hear!) you can hit up a guy on AZ named Manguyen for a really good deal. You may have to buy all four though, never hurts to ask just to confirm.
Who is this that grew up in Rocky? I lived there through Jr High, haha back in grade 6 Pioneer burned down. Fond memories...Find me on Instagram @pry4sno
