Not sure what software he uses for the Audi's, but Lawrence at Calgary Autoworks is an absolute wizard when it comes to custom piping work. He did my supercharger piping and will be doing my new turbo piping in a few days... He does a lot of work on VW's and others, but he's mentioned to me that his real passion is Audi's. He's got a beautiful silver S4 right now...

He'll have his AWD dyno soon, so if you need any help with the tuning, or just even to see how well it does afterwards, he'll be a good guy to chat with.

Ha Ha. My name is Jesse Dahlmo. I graduated from Will Sinclair in 2000. I was at Pioneer the day it burned. That was crazy! So Ryan is the other guy, who else grew up out there? And I apologize to the person who started this thread for going way off topic...

Is that the silver S4 with the front mount? Yeck. Certainly not a good advertisement for any custom builder....

It does have a front mount, but it's certainly not 'yeck'... might not be the same one you're thinking of... and if it is, well, we all have different tastes.

Regardless, he does GREAT work... and the AWD dyno he's getting soon should help anyone that's looking at testing/tuning their car.

As someone who would consider an Audi someday, good luck to the OP on the software. Let us know what you decide to do, and post up some numbers / butt dyno once it's done.

With the injectors (sorry to hear!) you can hit up a guy on AZ named Manguyen for a really good deal. You may have to buy all four though, never hurts to ask just to confirm.
already contacted him, and i have first dibs as of right now. but im gonna have to buy all 4. i might have to take you up on those pulls. you are just stage 1 correct?

however im really liking the VAST option and there semi-custom tune. At our altitude i see it doing good things. I would not mind doing before and after dyno pulls. i have seen it before but where is there a AWD dyno in Calgary, and what do they charge per pull?

No offense as you sound as you are affiliated.. If it is the same one I am thinking of (at DTP, and I have seen it on the road as well) but the piping is way too large in diameter, and the bumper is hacked to ****. This is how they should look:

That's correct, I'm stage one. And with a couple midrange pulls against Jesse's stage 1 Unitronic tuned V8 S4, I was slightly impressed with what I affectionately call my "weak sauce."

When I'm coming back to town I'll let you know and we'll go for a run down Old Banff Coach Road so you get a good feel for it.

yes unitronic has this software for your k04 , i have done the k04 tune on two jettas and my tt i know its a a4 but the power will be similar ,and if you have the supporting mods ie inter. and exahust then even better the have stage 2+ for some ko4 aps

no intercooler, but i do have exhaust and ATP testpipe.

EDIT: i just ordered new injectors, had to buy a set of 4. they should be here in 2 weeks. My car also has one more 2 week period in the trader. As soon as the injectors are delivered i will be going with either VAST or Unitronics. thanks for the help guys

just to make sure... will the Genesis 380cc injectors work with the Unitronics stage 2? if im correct the expensive as hell TT225 injectors are only needed for the APR 1+ kit. and i really didnt feel like buying a second set

You'll be fine with the TT225 injectors either way, IIRC. Though the convo with Chris (Das Auto Haus) was a while back, he said that he can adapt the tune to suit the hardware installed. Also, the ECU automatically adapts itself to gradual variations in altitude, driving style (throttle usage/response), and even to compensate for having a 1+ tune with small OEM injectors.

The TT225s will idle better than the Genesis ones, because the spray pattern is designed properly.

Also. For the love of God, it's Unitronic. Singular. Unitronics is a program for adapting fuel trim and other variables, like Lemmiwinks.

TT225's will be well suited to a K04, the tune can always be customized to match the specs of the injectors and turbo output.
